Paediatric Vestibular Rehabilitation Course - Ticket for sale for June 8-10

I signed up for Paediatric Vestibular Rehabilitation course in Calgary June 8-10.  It is a 2.5 day course and includes breakfast, lunch and snacks.  I am not sure I can go so am hoping to sell my spot to someone.  The course cost me $714.19 with taxes and fees but I am hoping someone will want to go for $650.

DESCRIPTION

Course Presenter: Gaye Cronin, OTD, OTR/L

Course Description: This course focuses on effective vestibular rehabilitation for treating children with dizziness, coordination, balance, motor, postural, vestibular, visual motor, perceptual, sensory organization and motion disorders due to disease, toxicity, infection, tumors, trauma, neurological, and congenital/genetic disorders. Experienced as well as novice clinicians will learn a new frame of reference and treatment techniques that can positively affect the child’s motor skills, balance, coordination, rate of development, perceptual skills and tolerances of motion. The lab course will include pediatric assessments for vestibular, sensory organization, ocular motor, reflex integration, and motor development. Treatment techniques, video case demonstrations, and interactive lab practice will be included.

Course Objectives: At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:

1.   Apply developmental and physiological principles as they relate to balance, posture, movement and motor skills.

2.   Describe the peripheral vestibular system of semicircular canal alignment/function, otolithic function and rectors combined with the central system and spinal pathways to stimulate rehabilitation mechanisms of adaptation, compensation, and habituation.

3.   Identify and recognize vestibular dysfunctions and pathologies in infants and children.

4.   Recognize and develop problem solving skills and movement exercise programs for vestibulo-ocular and vestibular spinal reflex dysfunction.

5.   Develop specific vestibular treatment techniques and continuums.

6.   Identify effects of vestibular dysfunction and intervention outcomes on learning, school performance, coordination and movement tolerances.

Kids Can .... Pediatric Clinic is Closing. Everything is For Sale

Kids Can ... Pediatric Clinic is closing on July 31, 2016, after fifteen years of providing occupational therapy, speech-language therapy and psychology services to children and families in Calgary and Southern Alberta. Colleen Basaraba, Occupational Therapist, owner of Kids Can.... Clinic and of Occupational Therapy & Educational Consulting Services, Inc. (O.T.E.C.S. Inc.), will "slide into" semi-retirement / retirement after having the honor of providing services to children of all ages and their families and their teachers in Calgary and Southern Alberta for twenty-five years. It has been an honor indeed!

The good news for you..... Everything I have is FOR SALE, from books (parent, teacher and therapy resource and activity books, professional books, and programs), to assessments and protocol sheets, to gross motor, fine motor, sensory, sensory motor, sensory integration, visual motor, visual perceptual, oral motor, feeding and activities of daily living equipment, and handwriting (pre-printing, printing, and cursive handwriting books, programs, grips, paper and specialty pens and pencils) programs, tools and activities, to office furniture, equipment, file cabinets, file folders, on down to the paper clips , to just plain fun games, fidgets and toys for therapy. Some items are new, not ever used, and most used items are in very good condition! There are some free give-away items too, but you need to come to see what they are. 

I prefer to show people individually or in groups of up to three or four at a time. I literally have hundreds of items still for sale, so please do not ask me to list them all for you.
