Agenda:
1. Charlene Wright will present information re: coaching families in home based contracts for Toilet Skills
+ Clinical Experience: the importance of a sense of security for toilet skills
+ Case Example: including writing into goals/ program plans about the process of coaching families to establish a sense of security when teaching toilet skills.
+ Clinical frustrations including limits on our scope to help parents, for instance, within the FSCD policy framework and on multidisciplinary teams.
+ Clinical questions for discussion
2. Participants will each introduce yourselves and
+share experiences on the role and scope of OTs in coaching families for a sense of security in toilet skill goals
+ask questions about today's topic, pediatric OT/private practice in general,
+share general info - any new equipment you use, courses you have attended, questions, suggestions for next meeting.
3.Julie will relate today's discussion to what she has learned from Circles of Security for Parents (COSP) for instance “Being With” parents as we teach them how to toilet train their children and she will share her vision for families.
