“The first Task Force meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 21st from 6-7pm. At this meeting we will decide the terms and goals of task force and build action plans. Commitment level will be approximately 2-3 hours per month via meetings and reviewing documents. 
Interested OTs need to be paid SAOT members to participate in Task Force.”

SAOT is actively looking for interested pediatric OTs who are concerned about budget cuts impacting services available to AB families to help with the following advocacy ideas:

-Advocacy at government level
-Social Media campaign
-Automated letter campaign and involve parents for bigger impact
-Consider alternate framework policies to support OT services 
-Use timing of COVID-19 to advocate for mental health OTs in schools
