"In the summer, the American Academy of Pediatrics published their
position paper on the use of sensory interventions, specifically SI treatment, with children. They recommend cautious in using these unproven approaches and transparency in informing parents of the evidence. This document sparked much debate within the OT community around the world. Sylvia Rodgers and colleagues have just published an
editorial which speaks to the need for OT as a profession to define and name our interventions carefully."
With thanks,
