We provide services to children and families through private, home and school based programming. We offer a wide variety of wellness programs for children and youth that incorporate regulation, social skills and mental health. Our family coaching programs allow for meaningful connections with families that create lasting change.
We are looking for the right person to expand our incredible occupational therapy team. We are looking for an energetic, creative and passionate therapist. This person must be well organized, have excellent interpersonal skills and have experience working with children with differing abilities. Experience and training in pediatrics, mental health, wellness and sensory processing would be a definite asset.

Responsibilities include:
- Assessment and occupational therapy consultation within prekindergarten and kindergarten classrooms
- Provision of occupational therapy services through FSCD
- Travel to schools and homes within Central Alberta
- Planning and facilitation of inclusive children’s wellness programs
- Opportunity to explore online services for direct therapy and course development
- Documentation and maintenance of client care records and statistics

Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelors or Masters)
- Registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
- Access to vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Ability to work some evenings

OT Contract Position North of Edmonton

My name is Megan Stock and I am with Tamaca Therapy Services Inc.

Private Contract in Calgary NW

We are looking for an occupational therapist to work with our son. He is 2.5 years old and was recently diagnosed with ASD. He is very active and requires a lot of physical activity to regulate.

We currently have a private team for FSCD Specialized Services. Our team consists of a Speech Language Pathologist, Board Certified Behavioral Analyst, and Developmental Aides.

Sensational Kids 1.0FTE OT Position in Brooks


                                                                                
Established private occupational therapy practice in Brooks, Alberta seeking occupational therapist to join our team.  We are currently looking to fill a 1.0 FTE. This is a permanent position.  Our team of therapists and assistants work to provide primarily school based occupational therapy services for students ages 3-19 during the school year. 

Our therapists actively work to help our clients to build fine and gross motor skills and address sensory needs, self help, social thinking and executive functioning as well as play skills.
We can also provide private consultative services in the surrounding areas.  We work in collaboration with families, teachers and other professionals to develop client centered programs and interventions.  We are fortunate to live and work in culturally diverse and close-knit communities.

The candidate will be responsible for:
  • Completing assessments and appropriate documentation to support the unique programming needs of children.
  • Developing goals and strategies, intervention plans and making necessary adaptation recommendations.
  • Supporting teachers as well as parents to implement strategies effectively.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Program development and implementation of innovative ideas.
  • Providing presentations to teachers and paraprofessionals.
  • Supervising occupational therapy assistants as well as guiding paraprofessionals.


Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent from an accredited University program.  New grads are welcome to apply.
  • ACOT registration and proof of current professional liability insurance.
  • Valid Alberta driver’s license and reliable vehicle to travel between schools.  Mileage reimbursement is available. Minimal travel is required.
  • Up to date and clean Criminal Record and Child Welfare checks.
  • Previous experience with early intervention services is an asset.  A passion for serving the pediatric population is a must.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Flexible and able to work effectively with other professionals and families.
  • Able to work independently and with a supportive team.
  • Aptitude for relevant technology.
  • Well developed organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong desire to continue with professional development and evidenced based practice.
  • Fun loving and positive attitude.

Salary:  Negotiable based on experience.

Start date:  Full time positions can commence immediately - October 2018.
