Are you a professional working in Alberta with children with a severe neurological disability?
We would like to invite you to participate in a short research study approved by the University of Calgary Conjoint Health Research Ethics Board (REB21-1979) about professional awareness of Brain Computer Technology (BCI) in Alberta by completing the survey in the attached link.
Please forward this email invitation to your fellow colleagues working with severely disabled children so they can consider participating.
Recent BCI development has shown that school-aged children can quickly learn how to use BCI. Our goal is to characterize the professional awareness, clinical population needs, and potential impact of BCI in Alberta children and families living with severe neurological disability.
Participating in the survey will provide you with a basic introduction to BCI, how they work, and what might be possible. Additional educational options will be shared for those who are interested.
The survey takes an average of 15-20 minutes to complete. There are four sections: Demographics, baseline knowledge of BCI, estimation of relevant clinical populations, and perceived benefits and limitations of BCI.
Your responses will be anonymous with analysis of only broad demographic data performed on a group level.
Your completion of the survey will imply your consent for participation and use of your data.
If you have any questions or feedback, please contact the principal investigator:
