Occupational
Therapy Recovery Conference 2020
Re-imagine, Connect, and Inspire: Virtual Conference Week
October
19-23, 2020
The Edmonton Mental Health and Addictions
OT Practice Council has decided to hold this year’s event as an online learning
opportunity to maintain the health and safety of our community. Despite these
uncertain and stressful times, our community has had to adapt the way we work
and support people on their recovery journey. Let’s acknowledge and celebrate
this innovation and dedication! Please join us during the week of October 19 –
23rd, 2020 as we showcase mental health and addictions initiatives,
projects, and practices. Together we will re-imagine, connect, and inspire!
Call for Presentations!
We are accepting presentation proposals for
mental health service providers to share their initiative, program, or
practice. Our conference mainly focuses on Occupational Therapy within mental
health and addiction across the lifespan, though we welcome sharing of information
from our colleagues and invite all to learn with us. Our audience is typically
Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy students, and other mental health
workers.
These virtual sessions will run the week of
October 19-23rd, 2020 from 12-1 pm MST. Presentations will be a total
of 50 minutes in length. Each session will be a 15-30 minute showcase
presentation, followed by a 20 minute virtual breakout session. Please identify
the main contact for this submission. We recommend that you have at least 2
presenters so we can facilitate multiple breakout discussions.
Deadline to submit a proposal is July 27, 2020.
