Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools Okotoks


2018-04S – We are now accepting applications for an Occupational Therapist based out of our Central Office location in Okotoks.  This is a 1.0 FTE (37.5 hours per week) temporary position which begins in August and continues until the end of the 2018-2019 school year.

As part of the division team and reporting to the Student Services Coordinator who is responsible for PUF, our Occupational Therapist will assist students to develop or master everyday skills in order to live independent, productive, satisfying lives.  The therapist will provide assessment and report writing which includes program recommendations.  Working primarily with Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students receiving PUF programming, the therapist will provide direct and consultative service and work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.  

The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and be eligible for membership in ACOT and/or CAOT.  Preference will be given to an individual with experience in a school setting.  Travel throughout the division is required.

A current criminal record check and a child welfare check will be required.

Positions Available

We are currently looking to hire Occupational Therapist Subcontractors. The goal of the position is to provide intervention solutions through assessment and implementation for children with developmental needs. The solutions are meant to help strengthen families’ ability to promote their child’s healthy development and encourage their child’s participation in activities at home and in the community.
Occupational Therapist Subcontractors report to the President and assist in ensuring that the goals and objectives of the company are met with the highest of standards.

Qualifications

·       Experience working with children with development needs. Minimum of one-year experience working in paediatric and preference will be given to clinicians with community experience
·       Registration with respective college
·       Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
·       Ability to work independently and willingness to accept direction from and work in harmony within a team environment
·       Capability to see the “big picture” to execute and complete solutions and invoice as required

Key Connections Consulting Inc. (KCC) is a multidisciplinary team of
professionals including Behaviour Consultants, Counsellors, Speech-Language Pathologists, and  Occupational Therapists. We are dedicated to improving the lives of children, youth, and adults who have challenges by helping them reach their full potential.

We are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist. This position is 0.6 FTE.  The position is located in Lethbridge, AB and is available immediately, but willing to consider a summer date.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and organized person to join our flexible and fast paced team. The individual must be comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team and will be expected to participate in assessment, planning, and implementation of intervention programs.  Consultation and supervision of in-home support aides and educational assistants is also an expectation. Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum is an asset.  Out of town travel is a requirement and employees are compensated for travel costs.
