Our mentors include Kim Barthel, Lucy Jane Miller, Bruce Perry, Brene Brown, Marcia Garcia Winner and Dan Siegel, to name a few.  Our space is warm, cheerful and relaxed – we have one of the fewest free standing OT clinics and sensory gyms in the city – we pride ourselves on this space and it’s airy and homey feel. Job Responsibilities: Our Occupational Therapist (OT) will be well versed in solving problems and being self-directed and who is able to work independently as well as in a team environment. We work with a wide range of issues including fine motor, gross motor, behavioural, mindfulness, with a large emphasis on sensory processing disorder. OT job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Administering, scoring and interpreting pediatric assessments; have understanding of different funding systems within Alberta Providing direct therapy through hands on, consultative, coaching and education of families and school staff Liaising closely with parents, external team members, and internal team members; Writing and presenting consultation notes and reports, such as IPPs, for internal and external use; Participating in program development; goal setting Collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team. Minimum Job Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent from an accredited University program; Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT); Proof of current professional liability insurance; Valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation required; Satisfactory criminal record check with Calgary Police Service Other skills and job requirements: Developed time management and organization skills; Excellent written and verbal communicator Work nerd – we discuss the latest CJOT article as often as we share our latest Netflix find!
