Calgary Meeting on September 8

We had a meeting in Calgary Friday May 12th. 3 people came. Carol reminded us of training she is bringing to Calgary Sept 29+30 with instructor, Sheila Frick. We discussed the Wilbarger protocol. Please remember joint compressions are a gentle clunk and brushing is hard (bristles completely depress). We discussed the idea of using vestibular input to increase tone (e.g. for pencil grasp) but none of us had tried it yet.

Save the date: Trish Williams offered to host the next meeting in Bridgeland at SpringOT. Friday Sep. 8th5:30 pm at 113 7a St NE Calgary

For topics we are thinking it would be great to hear what ways OTs in Calgary are getting kids interested in visual-vestibular activities and if you have taken a course in the last year or two on any topic, this is a good time to review with us.
