OT position with Khan Communication Services Inc.

Khan Communication Services Inc is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work on contract starting September 2015 providing consultative services to schools in rural Alberta.  Telepractice suites are provided and therapists also travel with a speech-language pathologist to the sites.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Canadian Occupational Therapy program
• Licensed to practice under the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
• Maintain professional liability insurance

Responsibilities include:

• Working with preschool and school age clients in school settings
• Conducting assessments and providing treatment plans to teachers and educational assistants
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals on a school team

Hours:

Contract work equivalent to two days per week

Sensational Kids Workshop

It can be exhausting for caregivers who want desperately to support their child but feel ill equipped to handle the meltdowns. When it seems the regular parenting strategies just don’t seem to work anymore…we understand and we can help.

In this session, we will explore sensory processing and its effect on children’s behavior. Come prepared for many enlightening moments and true connection with other parents. We will also discuss specific strategies and supports to help make you and your child’s life easier and your home more peaceful.

Time:  9:30-3pm

Private OT needed for child with ASD in NW Calgary

I have a 28 month old son that was recently diagnosed with ASD. We are currently looking for a Registered Occupational Therapist for our private team. We were approved for specialized services and have up to 48 hours per year for OT support. I live in NW Calgary in Montgomery. Just wondering if you know anyone with availability.
