Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Salary: $85.00 -$90.00 per hour (plus travel)

Position Description:
This position provides occupational therapy services for students (K-gr. 12) in six -eight schools.
More specifically, it will involve working with students, staff and multidisciplinary teams to:

  • ·         provide a continuum of supports and services at the universal, targeted and specialized level in the classroom.
  • ·         identify student's needs and development or provide classroom strategies for individuals and/or groups of students.
  • ·         build the capacity of others to respond to student needs.


Qualifications: Must hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. Must be eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and must be an active registered members of the Alberta Association of Registered Occupational Therapists (AAROT). Experience within a pediatric and/or school-based setting and the ability to work on a multidisciplinary team would be considered an asset.

I am going on mat leave and looking for anyone interested to take on my small private caseload.  You can take all or just one or both...

-5 year old male with Autism.  Lives in Marda Loop. Weekly sessions about two hours intense.  Sensory needs, fine motor delays, gross motor needs, functional delays. Non-verbal. Fantastic family. Private insurance as they are on a worker's visa.
-10 year old male with ADHD, GDD, Autism.  Functional goals, like chores, self-regulation.

OT Assistant Clinical Placement Opportunities

The SAIT Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program is looking to expand the clinical placement opportunities for OTA students. Our 2 year program trains therapy assistants in both OTA and PTA areas. Student complete a total of 16 weeks of clinical placements over a 2 year period.

OT Summer Volunteer

My name is Cody Dinn, Im a fourth year Kinesiology student at the University of Calgary. Im very interested in the field of occupational therapy and I am thinking about applying for occupational therapy next year after I finish my degree.
