Sensory diets and sensorimotor activities for children with Autism

Hello OTs,

I received an email from Chris Whitson who created the organization Autism Helpers. The organization is dedicated to helping individuals and their loved ones affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. He was wondering if any OTs would be willing to write an article to share their expertise about sensory diets, sensorimotor activities, or exercises that would be beneficial to children with Autism. Please read his message below:

"Thank you so much for your response. I would love to hear your professional thoughts on sensory diets for individuals with Autism. Could you tell our community about the benefits, correct ways to administer, and different types of diets are available? Perhaps and do's and don'ts section also. If there are other occupational therapists that would like to share, I would love to hear from them also. I'm sure there are a lot of topics that could be beneficial to the Autism community. The articles should be between 500-1,500 words." Chris Whitson

If you are interested in writing an article please email chriswhitson@hotmail.com or by phone 931-249-3841 as soon as possible. If you could also CC me on the email (venita.m@gmail.com)  that would be great so that I know the request has been fulfilled.

Thanks,

Venita Rajput
